San Jose

yeah so no one reads this anymore but I must tell my adventure, just in case you do.

Anyway my dad was going to San Jose for a hard disk drive conference (I know really exciting) and I was going to tag along so we could go look at Santa Clara in the afternoon. This was all really exciting.

So I wake up at 5, which wasn't fun. We go the airport. Get on the plane, which was actually on time. Then we get to about 40 miles outside of Las Vegas. And what do they tell us? Oh that one of the engines has failed, and we're going to land in Las Vegas. Great. So we land and we have firetrucks chasing the plane just in case, actually that was comforting because we landed on one wheel, which was kind of scary.

And in case you've missed out on the experience that is the Las Vegas airport it's really crappy and they have slot machines everywhere.

So instead of waiting for the 11:48 flight that would completely miss the conference and then I'd be late at Santa Clara we get them to give us a Southwest flight. Because southwest usually is slightly more comforting.

So we're on the southwest plane and then what happens? But we get to the EXACT same spot and then they're like "They're a funny smell in the cockpit. We're going back." AHH! So we go BACK to Las Vegas and sit there some more. Then my dad read the monitor wrong and we were waiting at the wrong gate and finally that flight is delayed. So we get up and tell them we just want to go back to Phoenix. Finally some other guy is like "I don't know why, the flight's leaving right now."

So my dad and I ran over to catch that plane which thankfully made it San Jose, although there were really bad turbulants.

This whole time my dad had to keep calling Santa Clara to say we were going to be there, then we weren't, and all this stuff. So finally we get to the school and we were going to talk to admissions people, and my dad decides to ask a freshman who had only been there for 3 days for directions. We didn't have very much luck.

But anyway the campus is really pretty and the admissions people were nice and took pity on our plane flight, that was sad.

And I have a USC application that they mailed me that I don't want on my desk. I want them to just leave me alone.

anyway, I'm going to go do homework that I didn't get done yesterday because I was effing on planes the whole day. ugh.

OMG! I can't believe that-it sucks! But I'm glad you got to look at Santa Clara and you didn't die. You'll have to tell me more later! And USC sucks, they keep sending me stuff too...they are SO lame.

no that is how you judge the school. i think that its a big deal-you meet a student from the school who gives you an idea of what it is like to go there. if its not what you like then you don't apply. i think tours are the most important thing. your dad is a liar. not all the time but just on this.

haha no it was some stupid internet site that my dad found. I don't think he really cares, seeing how stupid the usc guy was. At least I don't hope he does.
